Youth Art Workshop: Printmaking

Youth Art Workshop: Printmaking

Elementary students explore art and history through printmaking at the Frick.

Your child will spend the afternoon exploring printmaking techniques while learning about art and history through the Frick's collection. Working with teaching artists, students in grades 2–5 will develop their creative skills across different artistic approaches. The workshop emphasizes curiosity and provides a welcoming environment where kids can connect with peers, discover new interests, and make art together. Participants will leave with finished artwork to take home—typically between two to five pieces, depending on the workshop focus and individual pace. A special highlight: each student receives their own reusable linoleum block, which they can use for printmaking projects long after the workshop ends. The $55 admission covers instruction and all materials needed. This is a great option for young artists ready to try something new or expand their creative toolkit.
