Winter Wonderland: A Journey Through Ice and Time

Step into a winter celebration inspired by the museum's Planet Ice exhibition and journey back to when Ice Age creatures roamed Western Pennsylvania. Your family will enjoy cozy campfire storytelling, warm hot cocoa, and hands-on activities that bring prehistoric times to life. Learn about incredible animals like mastodons and short-faced bears, then test your ancient hunting skills by using a prehistoric spear thrower alongside experts from the World Atlatl Association. The day also features a family screening of Disney's "Ice Age" film and a chance to meet Santa for holiday photos and memories. Children 17 and under receive free admission through the museum's "Free for Kids" initiative, while regular admission rates apply for adults. All guests need tickets, and the museum strongly recommends booking your spots online in advance to ensure a smooth visit.
