Weeding Party

Join Meadowcroft's team for a morning of hands-on garden care at their historic demonstration plots. These Friday sessions run throughout the summer, giving families a chance to spend an hour helping tend the gardens while learning about heritage gardening practices. It's a wonderful way to connect with history and contribute to the site's upkeep in a meaningful way. Participation is free, and volunteers receive a bonus: free admission to the museum for that day or a pass to return anytime during the 2026 season. Because space fills up quickly (limited to nine volunteers per session), you'll need to register in advance. This is perfect for families who enjoy outdoor work and want to support a local historic site, or for kids curious about how people gardened in the past.
