Walk In + Make-It-Now

Drop by Pittsburgh Glass Center for a hands-on introduction to glassmaking without any advance planning needed. During this walk-in session, you'll have the chance to create either a paperweight or a blown glass ornament in about 20 minutes, with guidance from experienced artists throughout the process. The cost is $55 per person, and no prior experience is required. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to participate alongside an adult. Since spots are limited to six per hour and can fill up quickly, you'll need to sign up in person at the Front Desk when you arrive—there's no online registration for this event. Keep in mind that finished pieces require five days to cool completely before pickup, though shipping can be arranged for an additional fee. If you prefer a more in-depth glassmaking experience, the center also offers other activities where you can book ahead to secure your spot.
