Walk In + Make-It-Now

This is a casual drop-in experience perfect for families wanting to try glassmaking without committing to a full class. In about 20 minutes, you'll work with Pittsburgh Glass Center artists to create either a paperweight or a blown glass ornament. No experience necessary—the instructors guide you through the whole process. It costs $55 per person, and children as young as 5 can participate with an adult alongside them. Just show up and sign in at the Front Desk when you arrive; no advance registration needed. Keep in mind that space is limited to 6 seats per hour, so spots can fill up quickly. Because the glass needs time to cool, you'll pick up your finished piece five days after your visit (shipping can be arranged for an extra fee). This is a great way to sample the glassmaking experience without the longer time commitment of other programs the center offers.
