Walk In + Make-It-Now

Drop by Pittsburgh Glass Center for a spontaneous glassmaking experience that takes just 20 minutes or less. You'll create either a paperweight or a blown glass ornament with guidance from experienced artists, and no prior experience is necessary. The cost is $55 per person. Children ages 5 and up can participate alongside an adult. Simply arrive and sign up at the front desk—no advance registration required, though seating is limited to 6 spots per hour and may fill up quickly. Keep in mind that your finished piece needs time to cool and won't be ready to take home for 5 days. If you'd prefer a deeper dive into glassmaking with more hands-on involvement, the center also offers other classes you can register for ahead of time to secure your spot. Be sure to check their calendar, as Walk In + Make-It-Now is unavailable on certain special dates throughout the year.
