Walk In + Make-It-Now

Looking for a hands-on activity that's quick and fun? Stop by Pittsburgh Glass Center's Walk In + Make-It-Now event and try your hand at glassmaking. With guidance from experienced artists, you'll create either a paperweight or a blown glass ornament in 20 minutes or less. No prior experience needed—this is designed as an accessible introduction to working with hot glass. The activity costs $55 per person, and children as young as 5 can participate with an adult alongside them. Just drop in during the event hours; no advance registration required. However, space is limited to 6 seats per hour, so spots may fill up quickly. You'll need to sign up at the Front Desk when you arrive. Keep in mind that finished pieces must cool for 5 days before pickup, though shipping can be arranged for an additional fee. Be aware that the glass studio can feel warm during the activity, so lighter, natural-fiber clothing is recommended for comfort and safety.
