Walk In + Make-It-Now

Drop by Pittsburgh Glass Center to try glassmaking without any advance planning needed. This is a casual, hands-on experience where you'll work alongside experienced artists to create either a paperweight or a blown glass ornament in about 20 minutes or less. The cost is $55 per person, and no prior experience is necessary. Children ages 5 and up can participate with an adult alongside them. Just show up and sign in at the Front Desk when you arrive—no pre-registration required, though space is limited to 6 seats per hour and availability can fill up quickly. Keep in mind that finished pieces need time to cool, so you'll pick up your creation about 5 days after your visit. If you'd prefer a deeper glassmaking experience with more hands-on time, the center also offers other classes that you can register for in advance. Be sure to check their calendar before visiting, as certain special dates may have this walk-in program unavailable.
