Third Thursdays

Looking for a fun evening out that works for the whole family? Third Thursdays at the Heinz History Center opens the museum after regular hours on the third Thursday of each month, giving you a chance to explore the exhibits in a more relaxed atmosphere. You can grab a beverage from the cash bar while you wander through six floors of award-winning displays—whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a date night, or simply unwinding after work. Admission is included with your regular museum ticket, and the museum stays open until 8 p.m. on these special evenings. Best of all, kids 17 and under always get in free. If you have an Allegheny County library card, you can register for a RAD Pass to attend Third Thursdays completely free of charge. It's a great way to experience history at your own pace and discover what makes this museum one of the top history destinations in the country.
