Teen Time: Monongahela-Inspired Trinket Dishes

Teen Time: Monongahela-Inspired Trinket Dishes

Teens learn Monongahela pottery history and craft clay trinket dishes.

Teens are invited to explore the rich history of the indigenous peoples who lived in the Pittsburgh region and learn about traditional Monongahela pottery styles. During this hands-on session, participants will create their own decorative trinket dishes using air dry clay, combining cultural education with a creative craft project. This program is part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month celebration. The one-hour session takes place at the Homewood location and welcomes teens interested in learning about local Native American heritage while making something they can take home. For details about registration or any questions, you can reach the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh directly.
