Teen Time: Monongahela-Inspired Trinket Dishes
Teens explore Monongahela pottery history and craft tribal-inspired trinket dishes.
Teens are invited to explore the rich history of indigenous peoples who lived in the Pittsburgh area, with a special focus on traditional Monongahela pottery styles. During this hands-on session, young participants will create their own decorative trinket dishes using air-dry clay, learning about authentic techniques while making something they can take home.
This program is part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month celebration in November. It's designed specifically for teens looking for a creative activity that connects art-making with local and cultural history. Contact the South Side branch directly if you have questions about registration or need more details.
