Teen Time: Monongahela-Inspired Trinket Dishes

Teens learn Monongahela pottery and indigenous history at Carnegie Library.

Teens are invited to explore the rich history of indigenous peoples who lived in the Pittsburgh region while creating their own pottery-inspired keepsakes. During this one-hour session, participants will learn about traditional Monongahela pottery styles and techniques, then use air-dry clay to craft decorative trinket dishes to take home. This program is part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month celebration in November. It's designed specifically for teenagers looking to engage in hands-on creative activities while gaining meaningful cultural knowledge. For more details or to register, you can reach the Beechview branch directly.
