Teen Time: Modern Beadwork with Perler Beads
Teens explore Native American beading traditions and create perler bead art at the library.
Your teenager is invited to discover the artistry of Native American beadwork traditions during this hands-on library program. Participants will learn about different beading styles while creating their own perler bead project to take home. This one-hour session combines cultural exploration with a creative craft activity, making it a great way for teens to engage with Indigenous artistic practices during Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month.
The program runs from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Allegheny location of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. It's designed specifically for teens and offers a welcoming introduction to beadwork without requiring any prior experience. If you have questions about the program, you can reach the library directly at 412-622-3114 or visit their website for more information.
