Teen Time

Teen Time: Accessible Poster Design gives young people a chance to explore how thoughtful design choices can make visual materials work better for everyone. During this one-hour session, teens will learn practical accessibility guidelines that help people with visual and cognitive disabilities engage with posters and other graphics. Then they'll put those principles into action by creating their own accessible poster design. This program is part of the library's broader Disability Pride 2026 initiative, making it a meaningful way for teens to learn inclusive design thinking while contributing to an important conversation. This is a great fit for teens who are curious about design, accessibility, or social inclusion. Whether your teen is already interested in graphic design or simply wants to understand how their creative choices affect others, they'll come away with real skills and fresh perspective. The program runs for an hour at the Mt. Washington location, and it's free to attend.
