Tablao Flamenco: An Evening of Duende

Ring in the new year with an evening of authentic flamenco presented by Flamenco Pittsburgh at Alphabet City / City of Asylum. This special performance celebrates duende—the emotional depth and spontaneity that defines flamenco at its best. You'll experience live music, singing, and dancing from a talented lineup including guitarist Ricardo Marlow, singer José Moreno, dancers Sara Jerez and Mariana Gatto-Duran, flutist Erik Lawrence, and members of the Flamenco Pittsburgh Ensemble. This marks the group's first performance at this unique venue and welcomes several artists making their Pittsburgh debut. To make an evening of it, consider arriving early for dinner at Cucina Alfabeto, the on-site restaurant offering full-service dining and drinks. Reservations are recommended through their website. Admission is $25 per person. This is a wonderful way for families interested in world music and dance to experience a vibrant art form together and celebrate the close of the year.
