Stewardship Days – Hays Woods Park

Join in hands-on work to help restore and care for Hays Woods, Pittsburgh's expansive 626-acre urban forest. During these volunteer mornings, you'll contribute to ecological restoration efforts including invasive species removal, trail maintenance, park cleanup, and garden care. It's a meaningful way to learn about this beautiful green space while actually making a difference in your community. Families and volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in outdoor work alongside experienced stewards. You'll also get to enjoy the park's trails during your visit. Registration is required—sign up through the event page. Be prepared to review the safety guidelines and liability waiver before attending, and note that photographers may be present to document the program. The event runs from 9:00 am to noon.
