SkyWatch: Life on Moons

Curious about life beyond Earth? This hands-on event invites families to explore how NASA searches for the building blocks of life on moons throughout our solar system, including insights from the Cassini mission. You'll get creative by designing your own extreme alien organism adapted to survive in harsh environments, inspired by real-world extremophiles that scientists study. You'll also design and test a spacecraft to prepare it for launch, putting your engineering skills to work. The evening continues with a planetarium show and time on the observatory deck to observe the night sky (weather permitting). You may spot Saturn, our Moon, and the Pleiades star cluster, located about 440 light-years away in the constellation Taurus.
