Science Stroll: Fall Migration

Nature walk spotting migrating birds and wildlife at Wingfield Pines Conservation Area.

Join an ALT educator for a guided nature walk focused on fall bird migration at Wingfield Pines Conservation Area. You'll explore the wetland habitats that birds rely on during their seasonal journeys and learn about the fascinating ways these creatures prepare for long-distance travel. Feel free to bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them—the program also has a limited supply available to borrow. The experience runs whether it's rainy or sunny, though it will be canceled if thunderstorms develop. This outing works well for families with children ages 2 and up; kids under 2 don't need a ticket. General admission is $5 per person. Pre-registration is required—walk-ins aren't permitted. If you'd like to support environmental education programming, you're welcome to add a donation when you purchase tickets. For questions or to cancel, reach out to Allegheny Land Trust at julie@alleghenylandtrust.org or 412-741-2750.
