Reflections in Glass

Visit the Westmoreland Museum of American Art for a free day celebrating glass art. You and your family can browse the "Reflections in Glass" exhibition and cast votes for the People's Choice Award to help determine which pieces resonate most with visitors. The museum will also have live glassblowing demonstrations happening throughout the day, courtesy of Pittsburgh Glass Center's Hot Wheels Mobile Studio, giving you a chance to watch artisans at work. Kids can get hands-on with a creative activity: design and create your own small glass mosaic by selecting and arranging colorful glass pieces into a one-of-a-kind design that you'll take home. Your admission also grants access to two additional exhibitions featuring work by Ansel Adams and Victoria Sambunaris. While the day is free, the museum recommends registering in advance to ensure the best experience.
