Little Artists
Creative art activities for young kids at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Homewood branch.
Little Artists is a hands-on sensory program designed for the youngest explorers and their caregivers. During this 30-minute session, children ages birth through five get to experiment with colors, shapes, textures, and various materials. It's a chance for little ones to discover and play in a supportive environment while developing their creative instincts.
Since this activity involves sensory exploration with various materials, things can definitely get messy—so plan to dress your child (and yourself) in clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty or stained. The program welcomes both children and their caregivers, making it a great bonding experience for families with very young children looking for a simple creative outlet at the library.
