LDA of PA presents Early Literacy Tutoring

One-on-one early reading support from trained tutors at Carnegie Library.

LDA of PA is bringing a focused reading program to the East Liberty library for young learners. This Early Literacy Tutoring initiative works with students in kindergarten through second grade, using hands-on, multisensory techniques to build foundational skills. Small groups of up to four students work with a tutor on reading, spelling, handwriting, phonics, sight words, and comprehension in an interactive environment designed to make learning engaging. To get the most from this program, students should plan to attend two sessions per week at the library. Sessions run either from 11 a.m. to noon or from noon to 1 p.m., so you can choose the time that works best for your family's schedule. Registration is required and opens through an online form—once you sign up, LDA of PA will reach out directly to confirm your child's placement in the right class level.
