LDA of PA presents Early Literacy Tutoring

Early literacy tutoring for young learners at Carnegie Library's East Liberty branch.

Learning to read is foundational, and LDA of PA brings specialized support directly to your community. This tutoring program focuses on students in kindergarten through second grade, using hands-on, multisensory techniques to build strong reading skills. Small groups of up to four students work with a tutor to develop sight words, phonics, letter formation, spelling, handwriting, and reading comprehension—all woven into engaging, interactive lessons. To see real progress, students attend two sessions per week at the East Liberty library location, with flexible timing options in the morning hours. Registration is required to get started; once you sign up, LDA of PA will reach out directly to confirm your child's placement in the right class level. This is a structured, supportive approach to early literacy that works best for families committed to consistent attendance.
