LDA of PA presents Early Literacy Tutoring

Early literacy tutoring program at Carnegie Library–Hill District.

LDA of PA brings structured reading instruction to young learners through this tutoring program at the Hill District library branch. Designed for students in kindergarten through second grade, small groups of up to four children work with a tutor using multisensory techniques that make reading, spelling, and handwriting engaging and interactive. The curriculum covers essential skills like phonics, sight words, letter formation, sound recognition, vocabulary, fluency, and reading comprehension. Your child will benefit most from attending two sessions per week—either the 3–4 pm or 4–5 pm slot—to see meaningful progress in their literacy development. Registration is required, and once you sign up, LDA of PA will contact you by email or phone to confirm your child's placement in the appropriate class. This is a great opportunity for early elementary students who need extra support building strong reading foundations.
