Kids Club: Make a Water Filter

Kids Club: Make a Water Filter

Kids learn water protection and build a working water filter at the library.

Your child will explore the importance of water and how to protect it during this hands-on Kids Club session. Using the book We Are Water Protectors as a starting point, participants will discuss water's role in our world before diving into a practical activity where they'll build and test their own water filters. It's a great way to combine learning with creativity while understanding environmental stewardship. This program is designed for school-age children in grades K–5 and is part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Month programming. The one-hour session gives kids a chance to engage with meaningful concepts and walk away with a project they've made themselves.
