Kids Club

Children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to explore accessibility and inclusion at this Kids Club session. The program focuses on Carnegie Library's LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians), showcasing how library staff work to make reading and art available to people with disabilities. Kids will discover braille and learn hands-on how to create tactile artwork that people with visual impairments can fully experience and enjoy. This is a great opportunity for young learners to develop a deeper understanding of accessibility and disability inclusion. This event is part of Carnegie Library's Disability Pride 2026 programming and runs for one hour. It's designed for school-age children and offers a meaningful, interactive way to learn about serving diverse community members. The library welcomes families to call with any questions.
