Kids Club: Cherokee Pinch Pots

Kids Club: Cherokee Pinch Pots

Learn Cherokee culture and make pinch pots at Carnegie Library.

Your child will dive into Cherokee history and traditions during this hands-on Kids Club session. They'll learn about Cherokee culture, pick up some Cherokee language words, and create their own pinch pot—a simple pottery craft that's satisfying to make. It's a great way to explore Native American heritage while building creative skills. This program is designed for school-age children in kindergarten through fifth grade and runs for one hour. It's part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month programming, so it combines learning with making something special to take home. Registration details and any supply information can be confirmed by contacting the Homewood location directly.
