Kids Club: Cherokee Pinch Pots
Kids learn Cherokee culture and pottery techniques while crafting their own pinch pot.
Your child will explore Cherokee culture and traditions during this hands-on Kids Club session at the Carrick library. They'll learn some Cherokee language words and discover what makes this Native American culture unique. The highlight of the program is creating their own pinch pot—a classic pottery technique kids can take home as a keepsake.
This session is geared toward elementary-age children in kindergarten through fifth grade and runs for one hour. It's part of the library's Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month programming in November. For more details or to register, you can contact Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh at 412-622-3114 or email info@carnegielibrary.org.
