Kids Club: Cherokee Pinch Pots
Learn Cherokee culture and make pinch pots at Carnegie Library.
Your school-age child will explore Cherokee culture and learn some words from the Cherokee language during this one-hour session at the Sheraden library. The highlight is a hands-on pottery project where kids will create their own pinch pot to take home. This program is part of the library's celebration of Native American and Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month.
The activity welcomes children in kindergarten through fifth grade. It's a great introduction to both cultural learning and practical art skills in a relaxed library setting. For more information or to register, you can contact Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh directly.
