Haunted History: What Happened in Your House?

This program invites families to join local historians Hollen Barmer and Miranda Crostley as they explore how to uncover your house's hidden past. You'll learn practical techniques for tracking down clues using historic maps, property records, newspapers, and other resources to piece together your home's history and meet the people who once lived there. Whether you're curious after finding something unusual during renovations, intrigued by neighborhood mysteries, or just eager to investigate, these experts will walk you through conducting your own historical detective work. Tickets are $10 for general admission ($5 for History Center members) and require advance registration. The program takes place in the Detre Library & Archives. It's a great outing for families interested in local history, genealogy, or learning more about their own community and homes.
