Frick Park Stewardship Days

Join a volunteer workday dedicated to restoring one of Pittsburgh's most important green spaces. Frick Park spans 644 acres and supports everything from migrating birds to native wildflowers, especially across Clayton Hill. During these stewardship days, families and volunteers help remove invasive plants that threaten the park's natural landscape. The work directly supports the park's restoration efforts, including deer exclosures designed to help native plants flourish. Rachel Hoag, the Ecological Restoration Coordinator, will lead the session and tailor activities based on current park needs. This three-hour morning volunteer event welcomes families who want to make a hands-on difference. No experience is necessary—just come ready to help care for this historic park. Registration is required; interested participants should sign up online through the event page.
