Escape USS Requin: Attack!

If you're looking for a unique challenge that combines puzzle-solving with history, this escape room aboard USS Requin might be just the thing. Participants work together as a team to crack codes, solve puzzles, and gather clues throughout the actual submarine while racing against the clock in a 60-minute adventure. The experience draws on Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania history as well as facts about the USS Requin itself, making it educational alongside the fun. Groups of 4 to 6 people work through their own time slot, so you'll have the submarine to yourselves. This experience is designed for teenagers 13 and up, with at least one adult required in each group. Keep in mind that full mobility is needed to navigate the submarine, and the museum asks that you don't bring open food or drinks on board. You'll need to purchase tickets in advance—walk-ins aren't available. Members of Carnegie Museums pay $175 per group, while non-members pay $200. Weather or river conditions may occasionally affect the program, but you can reschedule or request a refund if that happens. You'll meet staff directly at the submarine on the Riverwalk rather than entering the main building.
