Escape USS Requin: Attack!

Ready for a challenge that lasts an hour? This escape room experience takes place inside an actual submarine at the Science Center, where you and your team work together to solve puzzles and uncover clues. The storyline involves helping USS Requin escape from something mysterious lurking in the Ohio River, and you'll also discover facts about Pittsburgh history, the submarine itself, and Western Pennsylvania science along the way. Groups can be 4 to 6 people, and advance tickets are required—walk-ins aren't available. This activity is designed for teens 13 and up with an adult, though young children cannot participate. Keep in mind that you'll need to be able to move around freely throughout the submarine. Groups meet staff directly at the submarine on the Riverwalk without needing to enter the main building. Tickets are $175 for members and $200 for nonmembers per group. Weather and river conditions may affect the program, but if that happens, you can reschedule or request a refund. Leave cameras at home—photos and videos aren't permitted inside the escape room.
