Escape USS Requin: Attack!

Ready for an adventure? Step aboard the historic USS Requin submarine for an immersive escape room challenge. Your group will have 60 minutes to work together solving puzzles and gathering clues throughout the actual submarine vessel. The experience draws inspiration from Cold War history and Pittsburgh's maritime past—you'll use teamwork and critical thinking to help the submarine escape while learning about its fascinating background. This activity is designed for teens (age 13+) with an adult, though younger children cannot participate. Full mobility is required to navigate the submarine. Escape room sessions run on select Friday and Saturday evenings in one-hour time slots. Groups of 4 to 6 people book each time slot privately. Advance tickets are necessary—same-day walk-ups aren't available. Carnegie Museums members pay $175 per group; nonmembers pay $200 per group. You'll meet staff directly at the submarine on the Riverwalk about 10 minutes before your scheduled time, so you won't need to enter the main museum building. Weather conditions may affect the program; if there's inclement weather, you can reschedule or request a refund. Photos and outside food or drink aren't permitted during the experience.
