Day Off at the Museum

When school's closed, the Carnegie Museum of Art welcomes young artists ages 6–10 for a full day of creative exploration. Kids spend their time experimenting with different materials, working across drawing, painting, and sculpture while learning new artistic techniques. The day combines hands-on studio work with gallery visits for inspiration, plus playful activities and sensory challenges designed to help children develop their skills and confidence as artists. Registration is $85 per child ($75 for Carnegie Museums members), and scholarships are available to help make the program accessible. The day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum's Art Studio.
