Day Off at the Museum

Special family day off event with activities and exploration at Carnegie Museum of Art.

When school is out, the Carnegie Museum of Art offers young artists ages 6–10 a full day of creative exploration. Kids will work with a variety of materials while learning new artistic techniques, all designed to build their confidence as young creators. The day combines hands-on studio work with gallery visits for inspiration, giving children the chance to discover ideas and approaches they can take home with them. Throughout the program, children engage in drawing, painting, and sculpture projects alongside playful art activities and sensory challenges that make learning feel like play. Registration is $85 per child ($75 for Carnegie Museums members), and scholarships are available for families who need support. For questions or to learn more before registering, contact the Program Registration team by phone or email.
