Carmilla, or The Sensual Sapphic Vampire of Styria!

The Savoyards are presenting a staged reading of a classic Gothic vampire story this Halloween season. Based on one of the earliest vampire novels ever written, this production brings to life the mysterious tale of Laura, an isolated young woman whose world is upended when the enigmatic Carmilla arrives unexpectedly at her family home. As strange circumstances unfold—including Carmilla's peculiar habits and the mysterious deaths of young women in the surrounding region—Laura begins to uncover disturbing secrets about her unexpected guest. This theatrical experience blends literary history with dramatic storytelling, making it an engaging choice for families with older children and teens who enjoy classic literature and atmospheric tales. Admission is $15 per person. The performance runs about three hours, so plan accordingly for younger attendees.
