Book Club: Love and Rockets by Jaime and Gilbert Hernandez

Adults are invited to gather for an hour-long discussion centered on two classic comic stories: "Maggie the Mechanic" by Jaime Hernández and "Heartbreak Soup" by Gilbert Hernández, both from the *Love and Rockets* series. This is a wonderful opportunity to dive into these beloved works alongside fellow readers and share your thoughts in a welcoming group setting. The library has made these titles easy to access before the meeting—they're available through the regular catalog for checkout, as well as as an eBook via Hoopla. This event is part of the library's Hispanic and Latin Heritage Month programming in October, making it a meaningful way to explore important voices in comics and literature. No registration information was listed, so interested adults are encouraged to contact the South Side branch directly for any details about signing up or preparing for the discussion.
