Birding Pittsburgh’s Parks – August Wilson Park

Interested in exploring the world of bird watching? This guided walk welcomes everyone, whether you're completely new to birding or looking to join fellow enthusiasts. Led by Naturalist Educator Stephen Bucklin, the group will spend the morning observing and identifying birds in their natural habitat. If you don't have your own binoculars, don't worry—pairs are available to borrow during the walk, so equipment won't hold you back from participating. The event runs for an hour and a half, giving families and individuals plenty of time to get outside, learn from an expert, and enjoy some peaceful nature time. This is a great activity for curious kids and adults who want to develop a new outdoor hobby or deepen existing birding knowledge.
