Join National Aviary educators and an ornithologist for a three-hour guided birding adventure at Blue Spruce County Park. You'll have the chance to spot migrating waterfowl and other species while learning bird identification skills from experienced guides. The real highlight? Hand-feeding chickadees sunflower seeds—these trained birds will land right on your fingertips, creating a memorable moment for kids and adults alike. Whether you're a seasoned birder or picking up binoculars for the first time, the expert leaders will share engaging information and stories that appeal to all ages and experience levels. This outing welcomes children ages 6 and up, with anyone under 18 needing to be accompanied by a registered adult. If you don't have your own binoculars, the National Aviary will provide a pair and help you get comfortable using it. Registration costs $50 for members and $55 for non-members.
