Beading with a Naturalist – Frick Environmental Center

Beading with a Naturalist – Frick Environmental Center

Craft workshop with a naturalist at Frick Environmental Center.

Join a naturalist for an afternoon of hands-on beading at the Frick Environmental Center. You'll learn brick stitch beading techniques and create a pair of nature-inspired earrings to take home and enjoy. All materials are provided, so just bring yourself and your creativity. This program works best for teens and adults ages 13 and up who are comfortable with detailed handwork and have good close-up vision, as the beads are small and require patience and precision. Registration is required to secure your spot. Tickets are non-refundable, though cancellations are treated as tax-deductible donations to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. If the event is canceled due to weather or other circumstances, you'll receive a full refund. The Conservancy also welcomes questions about accessibility and disability accommodations—reach out before the event if you need support. Photography may happen during the program; just let staff know if you prefer not to be photographed.
