Antony and Cleopatra
Shakespeare's 'Antony and Cleopatra' free at Central Park's amphitheater.
Shakespeare's tale of power, passion, and political intrigue comes to life under the stars at Central Park. This free outdoor performance brings the drama and spectacle of *Antony and Cleopatra* to the Ramey Amphitheater, giving families a chance to experience the Bard's work in a relaxed, community-centered setting. The show runs about two hours and fifteen minutes, so plan for a comfortable evening of theater.
Arrive early to make an evening of it. Starting at 6:00 p.m., food trucks including Chop It Like It's Hot and Big Moe's Ice Cream will be on hand, so you can grab dinner or treats. The Kids' Globe and Will's Gift Shop offer activities and browsing time beforehand, and at 7:15 p.m., Mind's Eye Theatre Company performs a community pre-show to get everyone in the mood before the main performance kicks off at 8:00 p.m. It's a wonderful way to introduce kids to live theater in an accessible, fun atmosphere.
