Allegheny County Park Rangers present Mr. McSlithers, Eastern Rat Snake

Meet Mr. McSlithers, an Eastern Black Rat Snake who works as an educational ambassador with Allegheny County Park Rangers! During this one-hour program at the library, your child will learn about where this snake lives, what it eats, and how it gets through daily life. You'll also get to see up close the special features that help Mr. McSlithers survive in the wild. This program is designed for school-age children in kindergarten through fifth grade. It's a chance for kids to discover facts about snakes in person and get over any worries they might have about these often-misunderstood animals. The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is hosting the event, so feel free to reach out to them if you have questions about what to expect.
